Based at Thyez in the northern Alps, half way between Chamonix and Geneva, Plum are a small French company specialised in precision engineering.
Since 2005 Plum have been developing bindings in conjunction with the Compagnie de Guides at Chamonix, and supply binding to the Chasseurs Alpins, the elite French mountain soldiers of the French army. 
Plum touring bindings are robust, easy to use and super reliable, so much so that Plum offer a two year guarantee on their ultra-lightweight R99 and R120 race touring bindings

A stronger beefed-up version of the R99 which is designed for skiers weighing 50-80 kg, the R120 is recommended for heavier skiers with a recommended range of 60-90 kg.
Lateral and vertical release are both set at 7 DIN and are not adjustable.
The heel unit has a lightweight titanium "U" spring. In walk mode one either turns the heel unit 90° for flat mode, or leave the unit facing forward and flip the heel cover over, giving 38 mm lift.
The toe piece benefits from Plum’s latest “Too Facile” technology with the proximity of the toe pins giving optimal step-in efficiency to ensure you don’t lose precious time getting on the skis.
