The X1 Strike is a single-skin tent using Crux's new X-tex fabric. They are hesitant to call the X-tex fabric revolutionary – it still has limitations – but it does present significant improvements and advantages over the existing PTFE-type breathable membrane fabrics that are currently used by most manufacturers. The Strike is built around the same diagonal 2-pole, external pole-sleeve configuration as the X1 Raid, but features a third internal pole to create significantly more space at the head of the tent. This also means more room when it comes to entering and exiting via the door. As on all the X1 models, the guy points loop around the poles themselves, taking stress directly off the seams.
